Warranty, refunds and exchanges

Silver Dollar Woodcraft proudly stands behind the products that we make. We are not liable for any cosmetic damages that occur to the pieces over time like scratches or dents. If you encounter a craftsmanship problem with your handcrafted piece such as cracking or structural problems please reach out to us via the contact us page or our email silverdollarwoodcraft@gmail.com and we will work with you to help mend/fix the problem. Due to the nature of handcrafted custom pieces we do not offer full refunds on products, we will assess the situation and determine if a replacement piece is necessary or if fixing the craftsmanship problem on the original piece is the best route to take. All sales are final and returns are not accepted.

Color Choice

Customers are responsible for understanding that the lighting in their home may impact the overall color perception of their piece as well as each piece of wood being unique and having more/less of a certain undertone. Stain color choices are final once the piece has been finished. We are able to refinish most of our pieces at customer expense, but know that it does take a significant amount of time so it is a substantial fee. If you have any hesitations about stain color please request the colors that you would like to see most with your order, each order comes with 3 complimentary stain sample on the wood type of your order. If you would like additional colors, you are welcome to purchase them from our Shop section.

Silver Dollar Woodcraft is not liable for an discoloration that may occur over time due to exposure to weather, water, heat, and/or any harsh chemicals. For the best way to care for your handcrafted piece please refer to the Cleaning and Care section below.

Cleaning and Care

For pieces finished with a polyurethane coating, typically any large furniture piece, it is best to clean using a microfiber towel and warm soapy water.

For smaller pieces like cutting boards that are oiled, it is best to wash the piece immediately after use with warm, not hot, soapy water and hand dry. Never place your wooden handcrafted pieces in the dishwasher, this can cause warping, cracking or dry out the piece. Frequently reapply mineral oil to the entire piece and let soak in.

For pieces finished with Rubio Monocoat, use the Rubio Monocoat surface care kit to best take care of your piece.

It is always best practice to use coasters or placemats when placing cups, plates, dishes, or other kitchen utensils on your piece to avoid unforeseen damage to the finish.

Estimated Completion…

We are a 1 man shop that builds everything from scratch, this means the estimated completion time is just that, an estimate. We work really hard to make sure that we give you a fairly accurate time quote for when your piece will be completed but there may be some instances where we finish early or later than the predicted finish date. Please understand that it is our highest priority to deliver a quality piece that we are proud of, we will not rush/half heart a piece just to have it done by the completion date.

Does it actually take “5-8” weeks to build?

No, for each custom piece it doesn’t take the full time quoted to build. The first few weeks are just for us to finish up orders that were placed before yours and get to your order in the que. Typically, it takes us anywhere from 1-3 weeks for the actual construction portion of the project.
